PLANS Sneaking onto the Seelie side, investigating the Cult of the Fox, attending far more parties/festivals than he ever has before in his entire life. Bringing anarcho-communism to the drabwurld. (cr plans) SUMMARY OF KNOWN DETAILS ✪ Sword training and combat training (PARKOUR) with Jason ✪ Magic training with the Magic Guild ✪ Working as a letter runner, including over Seelie lines. ✪ After gaining fast travel + shard concealment, making several trips over to the Seelie side, both to look for his people and to spy for Morla. Making Seelie contacts. ✪ Investigating the Cult of the Fox and becoming a target of the cult. ✪ From July onward: avoiding assassination attempts by the Cult of the Fox. ✪ Attending various holidays: Beltane, Samhain, Yule, etc. ✪ Working on Saber's R&D tech team, as a field tester/security. ✪ Looks into the Midnight Court. TIMELINE OF EVENTS SPRING IN 2,701 (Mar, Apr, May) MARCH - Takes advantage of the Monarch Audience and gains a means of shard concealment (thanks to Clarke saving Unseelie shards in battle, both their shards are concealed full time). He and Clarke take on a quest from Waver. When the snow rolls in, he does his best to help unfreeze things. APRIL - Bellamy continues sword and magic training and decides he really hates harps. MAY - Starts off the month with Beltane. He takes his first trip into Seelie territory later, checking out Caer Glaem and the area around it. Starts looking into the Cult of the Fox via Seelies. Kills some swans because fuck swans. SUMMER IN 2,701 (Jun, Jul, Aug) JUNE - Attends the tourney in Treun! Makes a second trip into seelie territory, this time centering on the Cothromach. Befriends some people with connections to the Cult of the Fox, begins the process of sending them undercover. JULY - Third tip into Glaschu, where following the Cult of the Fox leads him to Daonna just in time to witness the hangings. When he returns to the third spire, he and Clarke get a decapitated surprise and become a targets of the Cult of the Fox. AUGUST - Let's avoid sneaking around this month, ok? Ok! Works on more magic training, attends some festivals, and follows Clarke to the 8th and 9th Spires to help set up the spire clinics. FALL IN 2,701 (Sept, Oct, Nov) SEPTEMBER - Fourth trip into Glaschu, Parrais. Wreath Festival! Starts learning Blood Magic from Clarke and they adopt a dog (which he names Rhea Silvia). OCTOBER - Bellamy goes to Redgate midmonth, attends the opening of its theatre. Samhain: Bellamy and Clarke make offerings to the Black Shuck, and he manages to actually Dance and Have fun during the following festivities. NOVEMBER - As a former delinquent, the prison break is of course Very Scary. Continues with magic and combat training. WINTER IN 2,701/2,702 (Dec, Jan, Feb) DECEMBER - Yule! the Hare Hunt! JANUARY - Stuff and things!!! Another trip into Glaschu, checking on Caer Glaem before hitting up the Cothromach again. FEBRUARY - Ostara Festival in Parrais. Visits the art gallery with Clarke. At the end of the month, falls asleep and canon updates, gaining memories of infiltrating Mount Weather and joining up with Maya inside. SPRING IN 2,702 (Mar, Apr) MARCH - Nearly gets killed in Parrais by the Cult via broken balcony. Zombies must die aka takes out some of the undead. APRIL - Agrees to be bait for the Cult of the Fox in hopes of luring in members to capture for the Red Hand. MAY - ¿ we just don't know ?

[Bellamy just lets 'new' slide with a shrug, because compared to other people, it definitely applies. He's not particularly explaining why the guy hasn't seen him around either, not when it involves dropping the word Unseelie.]

[There's a longer answer to that question, one that starts with joining the guard on the Ark and ends with necessity to survival - the training from above molded to suit the ground, leaving Bellamy in a better position than most of the delinquents to lead and conquer and kill.]

[ben shrugs. he's not too invested in the whole history of how bellamy learned everything, but it's an acceptable answer that he's not going to argue with.]

[He doesn't answer right away, glancing between the guy and the dead swans, his grip flexing on his axe.]

You got something other than a sword? [Because he's still working on mastering one of those - he's gotten far, but he's much better at hunting with axes or knives, and no way is he giving up any of his weapons to a stranger.]

[he shrugs, reaching behind him to unsheathe a fairly large knife from his belt.]

This work?

[he doesn't see why it wouldn't. sure, he could have started with it from the beginning, but he also didn't want to get too close to the swans and the sword allowed a better distance.]

Depends. Can you throw it?

[In all his time hunting, Bellamy's found it easiest to be able to throw the blades from a distance. The better he got, the further he could throw from, the more acute his aim.]

[That's not say it's impossible to hunt otherwise - it's just easier when you don't have to get up close and personal with an animal about to run off the second you step on a twig.]

I can try.

[he's never had to throw it, honestly. he's used it for close combat practice and a rare fight. it can't be too hard, right?

he looks at bellamy expectantly; just tell him what to do.]

Then try.

[It's hard to explain how to throw a knife, at least not until he can see what the guy's already capable of. He gestures at one of the trees nearby.] It's easier to kill something when you can attack it from a distance, or at least down it for the kill first.

[with a shrug, ben focuses his attention on a tree, it's not too far, so at least if he misses, he won't have to walk too far out to grab it. he's watched knife-throwers before at the carnival, but that hardly counted for anything. he holds out his free hand, trying to center his aim, and throws it.

the knife falls blade-down into the dirt a few feet away from the tree. it stands upright, still vibrating from the contact.

ben's not so patient when it comes to failure, but he's gotten a little better.]

Goddamn it.

[It's almost laughable, but Bellamy knows this sort of thing isn't natural to most people. He doesn't even know why he's helping right off the bat, when he doesn't even know the guy's name yet.]

[But he doesn't stop.] The only thing you can do about that is practice. Hold it again, lemme see your grip.

[his patience has been wearing off from the swans, and this is already taking the cake. he wants to get it right from the start, he wants it to be easy, even if he knows it won't be. it's embarrassing, but he shrugs it off as he stalks to go pick his knife up again before returning. there's nothing wrong with his grip when he shows bellamy, in fact-- it's quite strong. perhaps it's because he's been practicing with it -- and the sword -- for so long.

he doesn't say anything, only waits, but he does look at bellamy with a raised brow.]

[He steps in closer, taking a better look. The guy knows what he's doing, at least on the grip side of things.]

Looks fine. You just gotta practice throwing it. [Bellamy saw that several times over with the delinquents; teaching them how to hold it and throw only went so far. They needed to get the experience.] Use trees to start, like this.

[And he pulls out one of his own knives, taking aim before launching it at the tree. It embeds itself into the trunk, almost exactly where he'd intended. He's not showing off so much as showing how he does it - he'd used an axe before, after all.]

Easy for you to say.

[well goddamn. he sighs when the knife hits the target, glancing to bellamy with an exasperated expression. he doesn't believe it, really, but he isn't about to give up now. with a huff and an overbearing determination, he readies himself for a throw again. he puts all that he's got into it, and this time it hits the tree's base. well, sort of. it's stuck in something, that's for damned sure.]

Yeah, because that's what you gotta do. [Some people were more natural than others, but he hadn't ever met a kid that failed so utterly they had to stop trying.]

[When Ben throws it again, the knife collides with the trunk this time, and Bellamy breaks into a cross between a smirk and a grin.] See? Practice. Scoff all you want, but you're gonna throw like shit for a while, most people do.

[he doesn't want to throw like shit for a while, but he knows it's necessary. practice makes perfect, as everyone always says. he walks over to pry the knife from the trunk, only walking halfway back to his original spot.]

What's your name?

[He's not the most patient of men either, save for the moments where it really truly counts, so he can't say he doesn't understand why it'd be frustrating.]

[He snorts a bit, amused at how long it's taken to get to this point. But he's never really been one for manners.] Bellamy. You?

[he has to call it like he sees it, but it doesn't really matter to him, anyway, so long as bellamy doesn't plan on attacking anyone any time soon.]

[It's not an answer (at least, he doesn't intend it as such - but it probably gives it away anyway), but he's a little nervous about it. So far his concealment's worked, but maybe it's borked.]

[Or maybe it's obvious he's not from around here. He can't imagine he even looks much like he'd fly under the Seelie code, from what he learned of it.]

[ben snorts, shaking his head.]

Nah, a guess. Seen a lot of people come to the feasts, but you ain't one of them.

[there was a 50/50 chance, and he's pretty damn sure he guessed right.]

Maybe I'm just anti-social.

[He is, actually, but it's apparent that he's Unseelie by this point. He stiffens anyway, suddenly more guarded than he was before.] I'm just looking for people. It's not a problem for you, is it?

[he shrugs, expression indifferent.]

Don't make no difference to me. We're all just people.

[He'll take that, for now. It plays right in to what he can offer next, especially when he doesn't want to talk about the other two reasons why he's over technical enemy lines.]

That's why I'm here. Looking for my people. If they're in the Drabwurld, I'm gonna find them.

[a name would help, for one. not to say ben would know them, anyway, but he might.]

[There's a pause, because while certain names come to mind - Octavia, Jasper, Monty, Miller, Finn - he's here for any of the kids.]

I'd be better off giving you a list. Just - listen for people who talk about things like Grounders, or the Ark. There were a lot of us.

Fine, but I ain't never heard of those names before.

[if they're here, they're more likely on the unseelie side, since he hasn't heard of anyone asking about grounders on his end.]
