[she nods, and without further ado goes and takes a seat. within a moment, someone working there breezes by to ask what they'll have, and because Grell is Grell, she orders for them both quickly enough that exactly what's in a "Cloud Guardian" isn't even addressed.
as it turns out, it's a vivid blue. are you brave enough, Bellamy?]
[Bellamy sits across from her and doesn't seem to mind when Grell orders for them both, mostly because he doesn't really care what it is right now, as long as it works like booze is supposed to. When the drink arrives, the vivid blue absolutely throws him off, and maybe at another time he would have said "no thanks."]
[But neither he nor Grell are here to say no thanks.]
[He lifts his up and tilts it towards her.] To that burning sensation and belligerence.
[And then he knocks back a pretty big sip of it, making a face as it goes down. It's not as strong as he hoped, but the flavor is powerful enough to make up for that, for now.] Fruity, maybe? Bitter too. Headache worthy, probably.
It's delightfully deceptive. Something that looks oh so potentially dangerous, and yet remains easy to swallow. If you take a few in one go, you'll feel the headache, of course, but I thought it best to give you something to start with before going straight to what will make you spin.
[for her part, she takes a drink, closing her eyes as she swallows. it had been the first thing she'd been recommended when she found this place, and so she would pass the torch like so.]
[He doesn't quite grin, but it is the most amused he's looked in days.] Delightfully descriptive. I'd probably have just called it weird and blue.
[He takes another big sip and even if it's not the best thing he's ever had, he enjoys it well enough - well enough to get what he wants for a start, at least. Grell had the right idea.] This might be one of the first times I've ever actually seen you with a drink.
And that was by my own choices. When the war was on, it hardly seemed sensible to drink much - if something was to come up unexpectedly, I wanted a relatively clear head to be able to deal with it.
[it's not a very exciting reason, but she hadn't gone teetotal on you, Bellamy. just something she'd thought of as logical at the time.]
Such a shame, all the times I've missed being able to say to hell with it and let myself go.
[He shrugs it off.] No, I get that. Even back home I didn't really - I didn't like to cloud my senses. I always wanted to be prepared.
[He takes another drink and laughs a little, dryly, 'to hell with it' calling up images of his own 'whatever the hell we want' days.] It's not too late to start now, right? There's plenty more after we finish these. Whatever the hell we want.
[As if to demonstrate, he drains another significant chunk of the blue drink.]

To bad luck, and worse headaches.
