[He slices open his palm, a lot harder than he'd intended to, before he slams the knife down on the table. He can't get pissed at her, not right now, so it slides out through other means.] It's important to me.
[He draws the rune on the table in front of him, blood from the wound dripping down his wrist. He might not have given in so soon, but he wants to keep her on the line as long as possible.] It's cast.
( she mirrors him, her own hand cut before a rune is written in blood across her opposite hand. healing it immediately, she doesn't bother answering his previous statement. )
[And suddenly he knows. He knows exactly why her tone has reached this point, and it only emphasizes his need to be with her immediately. But he can't teleport into the library, and she won't come home. He feels useless.]
How d'you know? [He believes her. Her voice attests to how true it is. But it's partway to make sure she's not in any danger right now herself.]
( it's likely she'll feel bad later; Jason was callous in telling her, and now she's being just as cold to Bellamy. but she can't afford otherwise right now, she can't. )
[He frowns a little, wondering if Jason himself has been a part of her current detachment in the wake of Saber's death too. The guy doesn't exactly have a good handle on emotions.]
[But he doesn't want to stop talking to her, even just over voice.]
[He doesn't flinch. He gets it. He's had that same urge to kill a Cultist, but his urge usually comes with anger not coldness.]
[Clarke's anger didn't always have the best results, but Bellamy still thinks it's better than this.] Clarke. I still need to talk to you, okay? Later.
