( Clarke has her work cut out for her almost as soon as the month begins; thawing anyone out of ice when she's not even all that familiar with the weather in the first place is somewhat of an endeavour. but it's not exactly rocket science for what it takes to unfreeze imps and residents alike. so by the time the proclamation of the monarchs makes it to the third spire, she's already spent a day setting up fires and helping the locals to get inside and take care of themselves, giving information on how to treat hypothermia and ways in which to not make it worse.
even after going to see Lord El-Melloi II and returning to the Third Spire, there's no real pause between helping the locals and researching for their quest. she's back outside to continue assisting when she comes across Bellamy, and she tries so very hard not to start laughing when one of the residents promises him her first born. and while she succeeds in keeping it together at first, it's almost impossible to keep a lid on it as the day goes on, especially when both of them manage to get some down time from actively trying to thaw out the village.
after setting up another fire in one of the streets to keep the cold away from those that are still outside (despite her urging to keep themselves bundled up indoors), she ventures to one of the stalls offering out warm drinks to those that help thaw the city, seeking out Bellamy where he's stationed himself. with various fires burning near him that he'll undoubtedly need to keep stoking for them to melt away the ice and snow that's gathered, she settles in next to him, offering out one of the mugs in her hands. )
Here. They call it hot cocoa, but it's nothing like what we had on the Ark. ( by which she implies it's way better. )
